If we noble Americans are the very pinnacle of perfection,
perhaps that's why we have all become pathetic victims of confection
We waste away our precious days in cookie-cutter masquerades
Never noticing society's corrupted us and made our morals decayed.
Our teenage girls now raised on MTV, become convinced that reality plays onscreen
Are pressured into sex, drugs, and lies. Its an obsession with the obscene.
Our teenage boys, taught that the concepts of chivalry and romance are dead,
Are taught it's much better to spend days in a haze of beer and smoke, instead
We all strive for the zenith of pulchritude, an impossible ideal
Tearing our bodies open, breaking bones for beauty, transplanting sex appeal
We walk and talk "perfectly", emulating fake Barbie-doll socialites
Neglecting anorexia, suicide, bulimia, caused by our American blight
We nip and tuck and cut away our "ugliness," apply makeup over flaws
We disdain those who fall below our standard, society's unwritten l
